Monty (Kennel name: Montana Star) our pure-bred Border Collie was born in sunny Perth, Australia on 20 September 2001 and passed away peacefully in Chorley, Lancashire, England on 9 September 2016, only 11 days short of his 15th birthday. Monty made the journey from Australia to England when he was 5 years old. The cooler weather suited him wonderfully well. He loved his walks in local parks, nature parks, mountains, beside lakes and streams, at the beach...but most of all he loved to play with our children in the backyard chasin' tennis balls, footballs you name it! He was friends with our pet hens (Popcorn, Pipsqueak, Coco, and Cookie) and pet rabbit (Pebbles), and would often wander up to them to say hi. We buried Monty in the sunniest part of the backyard, close to the kitchen window, and will soon plant some flowers where he's buried - that way, he can watch us play tennis and other fun activities in his backyard. He'd like that. We all love and miss our beautiful friend Monty with all our hearts. Life will never be the same without him.
