You were only 18 months old when we rescued you from the kennels. You put up a protected front so people would walk away, but I knew I had to somehow stay. Walked in the park then sat for a while to feed you treats and your favourite toffee muffin. You walked away but then turned around and came back to me. Put your 2 front paws around my neck then hugs and a kiss, then that's when our very special bond began. Then that's when our two life's changed, never to leave each other's side again. But years passed away all too quickly and now you have left my side. The house is sad and empty, no more smiles and laughter, no good times to share. So now I have to mourn a broken heart to mend. Some may say you were just a dog but to me so much more. A faithful friend so loving and loyal. So with sadness in my heart and tears in my eyes I say my final goodbye. But I know when it's my turn to leave your be waiting at the door to greet me once again. RIP my big boy
