About PCS

PCS - Commitment to Service

The company's core clients are individual veterinary surgeries, from across the country, who offer our dignified cremation services to the public, via the operation of our regular collection service.

We also work directly with bereaved pet owners who are welcome to attend their pet’s cremation and will receive the ashes in an urn of their choice.

For those who do not wish to attend the individual cremation, PCS returns the ashes to the veterinary practice.

Our range of Memorials can also be purchased for placement in your garden as a lasting tribute to your pet, or you may prefer to upload your thoughts and images to our online Remembrance book.

Our History

Pet Cremation Services (PCS) is the trading name for Time Right Limited, a pet-owning family business which, over 30 years ago, embarked on a journey to work closely with veterinary practices and pet parents to provide dignified cremation services for their companions. The business started with our first crematorium in Northamptonshire, which is now also our head office.

1997 - 2009

Glenn Tuck, Former Managing Director (New Managing Director Jo Moore appointed in July 2022) began to extend the reach of our essential services by acquiring and implementing the second of our crematoria in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. These were followed in the coming years by new facilities opening in Hampshire, Dorset, Cornwall, Tyne & Wear, Suffolk, York (South Yorkshire) and North Ayrshire in Scotland.

2010 - Present

The U.K. veterinary marketplace started to change, and continues to see huge investment from corporates over the last few years, changing many of the independent high street veterinary practices into a corporate group by way of either acquisition, franchises, buying groups or opening practices within pet stores.

Our cremation and burial facilities needed to keep pace with these changes so Glenn sought an equity investment partner in 2015, not only to keep pace with the corporate footprint but also retain the family values and continue to offer our essential services for the pet-owning public – the business which you see today.

The new investment allowed us to continue to expand our operations and we now offer 15 locations around the UK with our latest facilities based in Norfolk and Gloucestershire.
