We were meant to take that trip to babworth rescue centre that day 5th June 2009. As we walked down the long row of kennels, I spotted you, those big brown eyes looking up at me made my heart melt, I knew you were the one. We walked you for a while and got to know you, it took seconds for us to fall in love with you. A few days later we set off to bring you to your forever home, our lives were complete. Ben, you gave us so much love and joy and millions of laughs, and in return, we gave you our hearts, you were spoilt by us all, you were our world and you still are. The 25th October 2016 (my birthday) would never be the same again as we had to let you go, beautiful boy.....the growth you had on your leg couldn't be removed, cancer had gotten hold of you, we couldn't let you suffer angel. You were 9 years old ben, we only had you for 7 years, such a short time with such a perfect companion. We miss the cuddles, we miss the laughs, we miss everything about you ben, it's left a huge gaping hole in our hearts and lives. Forgive us for letting you go so soon, but the pain you would have felt, we would feel as well by watching you suffer. Go to sleep now baby boy, we have your ashes today so you are back home where you belong and will always be with us forever. Fly high gorgeous boy, we will all be together again, wait for us on the rainbow bridge. We will always love you, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
