Remembrance Book - In loving memory of Jake

Our wee man Jake age 15 years, 3 months and 23 days.

Every day was special with you Jake, from the moment you arrived aged 4 you brought such light, laughter and love into our lives, it took us some time to realise that your growling was your way of communicating and communicate you did with your huffs, puffs and constant urge to have the last word we always knew exactly how you felt about something and you more often than not got it just your way.

You became such a huge and integral part of our family loved by everyone who met you (even the post woman) from the way you sat at our Christmas tables in your party hat or celebrated every birthday with the family; to the way you guided everyone to the treat drawer or spent hours staring at it trying to open it with your mind. From lying on the back of your grandma's chair making sure you were in physical contact with her, to sharing her lunch right through to playing endlessly with your many toys or teasing your Aunty Laura in return for all the times she teased you. Who will ever forget the many family holidays we shared from Cornwall to Scotland, the days in the garden and out on long walks along the River Mersey with your friends Annie & Doris.

Those 15 years passed too quickly and every day since you left us hurts, we could see in your eyes that life was no longer fun and will always hope and pray that we supported you to make your way out of this earthly life as painlessly as possible and with the dignity we wanted for you, it was so painful for us to see you go and we would have held onto you forever if we could.

You touched so many people in your life and for whom you will always be in our heart sadly missed every day by Daddy Darren, Daddy Graham, Grandma Helen, Aunty Laura, Sophie, Kris, Matthew, Uncle Andrew and Aunty Carole along with Aunty Nicky Aunty Nix and Annie.

We know that you will soon be returning home from your journey and cannot wait to welcome you back we have felt every day that you are away. In the meantime and forever more play safely at the rainbow bridge, have fun with your granddad and enjoy his endless cuddles, kisses and treats.....always In our hearts and minds and always as our very, very special boy....till we meet again xxx we all love you and always will Jake.
