Remembrance Book - In loving memory of Suki

Today marks exactly one year when I said goodbye to you, Suki. It was the hardest decision that I have ever had to make and while I wish you were still with me, I know that it would have been selfish to have prolonged your suffering. It is often said that time is a healer, and while I do not cry as much as I did when you first left me, I still miss you terribly. What comforts me is that I had you in my life for fifteen-and-a-half years, Suki, from when you were a kitten until that final visit to the vet. During the time that we spent together you provided me with lots of happy memories, such as those times when you used to bring me lots of animal 'gifts' that I did not much care for, when you used to curl up on my lap to fall asleep, or the affection that you gave me whenever I came home from school, university and work. I sincerely hope that I will see you again one day, Suki, along with your brother, Sootie, and your adopted sister, Tilly. Until that day eventually arrives, Suki, "be good".
